Aria Vega and Ryan Castro lose the No. 1 spot on Decibeles’ Top 100 Colombia Hits chart to Mr. Plata and El Americano 4KT

Aria Vega and Ryan Castro have been dethroned this week from the top spot on the most popular songs in Colombia. The hottest new song in the country is “Las Muñequitas” by the Pacific duo Mr. Plata and El Americano 4KT

This week, “Chévere (Premium Remix)” by Aria Vega and Ryan Castro drops from number one to number 12 on the Top 100 Colombia Hits chart after seven weeks at the top, in one of the most dramatic falls in recent years.

In its place, Mr. Plata from Tumaco and the Buenaventura rapper El Americano 4KT take the lead with “Las Muñequitas.” Tumaco and Buenaventura are the two most important cities on Colombia’s Pacific coast, with high rates of marginalization and serious problems with public order and drug trafficking. Both Mr. Plata and El Americano 4KT are now artists with Universal Music, the world’s largest record label.

In total, “Las Muñequitas” accumulated 270 points (out of a possible 300). (ideal) which combine the three variables used to create the Top 100 Colombia Hits. The song is sixth on YouTube with 1,476,965 views, number five on Spotify with 1,284,868 streams, and twenty-first on radio airplay according to Decibeles, where it achieved 834 plays.

In second place is “La Villa” by Ryan Castro, which was number one seven weeks ago. In third place on the Top 100 Colombia Hits is “Ozono” by Luister La Voz, the young artist from Cartagena who has revolutionized Champeta by fusing it with urban music.

Jumping from fifth to fourth place is the Mexican artist Lenin Ramirez with “Todo lo Fue.”

The only debut this week in the Top 10 of the Top 100 Colombia Hits is Feid with “Que Vuelta Vox,” a song from his new album “El Green Print: La Saga (disco 1) – Feid.” BR Ferxxo, released on March 20th, entered the chart at number ten.

Each of the three variables—YouTube views, Spotify streams, and Decibeles airplay (radio)—has the same weight in the chart (33.3%).
