Neil Sedaka, the legendary singer-songwriter known for hits such as “Bad Blood,” “Breaking Up Is Hard to Do,” “Laughter in the Rain,” and “Oh Carol,” passed away on Friday (February 27), his family confirmed.
Family statement:
“Our family is devastated by the sudden passing of our beloved husband, father, and grandfather, Neil Sedaka. A true rock and roll legend, an inspiration to millions, but most of all, at least to those of us lucky enough to have known him, an incredible human being who will be deeply missed.”
Neil Sedaka, born on March 13, 1939, in Brooklyn, New York, began his career as a teenager in the 1950s, becoming one of the world’s first teen pop stars.
