Jessi Uribe and Paola Jara sing about the wounds of love in their new album, “Despecho a 2 Voces”

Not all love stories end the same way, but many leave the same mark. From this feeling comes “Despecho a 2 Voces,” a production that brings together the talent of Jessi Uribe and Paola Jara, two of the most important voices in Colombian regional music.

More than just an album, “Despecho a 2 Voces” gathers stories and emotions that many people can relate to. Through heartbreak, an emotion that has transcended generations and finds its most sincere outlet in music, both artists interpret narratives marked by mistakes, wounds, and intense feelings.

The album consists of 11 songs: “Show Central,” “Las Botellas y Yo” (The Bottles and I), “Aún Hay Amor” (There’s Still Love), “Si Nos Preguntan” (If They Ask Us), “Borracha Te Amo” (I Love You Drunk), “De Lejos Se Nota” (It Shows From Afar), “Consejos” (Advice), “Sigo Vestida” (I’m Still Dressed), “Pedacito de Mí” (Little Piece of Me), “Alcohol Traicionero” (Treacherous Alcohol), and the focus track “Infidelidad” (Infidelity). These songs resonate with those who have loved, suffered, forgiven, or had to start over, conveying a message that many will identify with.

Every time Jessi and Paola have joined their voices, the result has become anthems of love and heartbreak that the public embraces.

The “Despecho a 2 Voces” (Heartbreak in Two Voices) tour is currently in Spain. They recently sold out La Cubierta de Leganés in Madrid on May 1st, with 8,000 people in attendance.

They also performed in Alicante and will have a concert in Zaragoza on May 8th. Barcelona awaits the duo on May 15th. The tour will visit France, Ecuador, Costa Rica, Colombia, and the U.S. this year.
