New David Bowie 360-degree immersive experience to open in London

The exhibition will take in rare concert footage, photos, personal notes, audio recordings and more.

Produced by King’s Cross-based immersive show creators Lightroom, David Bowie: You’re Not Alone is written and designed by Mark Grimmer of 59, the creative director for the V&A’s David Bowie Is exhibition, as well as Tom Wexler. It showcases some of the late artist’s most iconic live performances and rare concert footage, as well as photos, drawings, lyrics, personal notes and audio recordings.

The exhibition contains a mixture of rarely seen and never-before-exhibited material which has been selected from thousands of hours of film from the David Bowie Archive in New York. The visuals featured in the experience are structured in thematic chapters which roll in a looping format, and will be projected around a cube-shaped room, with the aim being to place visitors at the centre of Bowie’s live performances.

Tickets for the immersive experience are on sale now, with the project set to run from 22nd April through the year. You can currently get tickets up to 28th June via Lightroom’s website, with more tickets for later dates set to be released in the coming months.

Last month, it was announced that Bowie’s childhood home would be opened to the public from 2027.

In 2023, a vast archive of the late star’s memorabilia went on display in London.
