Nicky Minaj receives criticism for supporting President Trump at the Turning Point conference in Phoenix
The ultraconservative “Turning Point” conference, held in honor of Charlie Kirk, took place last Sunday, December 21, in Phoenix.

The event was organized by his widow, Erika Kirk.
“If you’re born a man, be a man. There’s nothing wrong with that,” declared Nicky Minaj during her talk with Mrs. Kirk, who applauded and said “amen” to each of her statements. The rapper spoke of alleged pressure on people and minors to be transgender, implying that there is a campaign behind it.
Minaj also showered President Trump with praise, openly declaring her “respect and admiration” for him, calling him a “role model” and stating that she was “very proud” of the things being done from the White House.
“This administration is full of people with heart and soul.” I’m very proud of them, and both Trump and JD Vance are trustworthy people. When you listen to them speak, you get the feeling that they haven’t lost touch with the people, with young people, with the wealthy and those who aren’t. They make us proud to be Americans.”
The backlash was swift, including from several stars like Rosalía, Britney Spears, Billie Eilish, and Christina Aguilera, all staunch advocates for LGBTQ+ rights, who unfollowed her on social media or even blocked her.
Following this, Nicki Minaj officially closed her Instagram account.
