Release date of the new Michael Jackson movie

“Michael,” the Michael Jackson biopic, is the most anticipated pop artist film of the season. It will officially premiere worldwide on April 24. Two days earlier, his most devoted fans in the United States will be able to see it in advance.

Lionsgate, the studio behind the film, announced that the new Michael Jackson biopic will arrive in a limited number of theaters in premium formats on April 22, two days before its official release.

Kevin Grayson, president of worldwide distribution for Lionsgate Motion Picture Group, said in a statement, “These early access screenings, in IMAX and premium large formats, will immerse audiences in the electrifying performances and bring to life the power of Michael Jackson’s iconic music. It’s the perfect way to be among the first to see the film.”

The film, directed by Antoine Fuqua (Stans, Bullet Train), stars Jaafar Jackson, Michael Jackson’s real-life nephew.

The film also features:

Colman Domingo (Wicked: For Good, Euphoria) as Michael’s father.

Kendrick Sampson as Quincy Jones.

Miles Teller as Michael’s powerful lawyer and manager.

Nia Long as his mother.

Larenz Tate as Motown founder Berry Gordy.

Juliano Valdi as young Michael Jackson.

Kat Graham as Diana Ross.

Jessica Sula as La Toya Jackson.

Liv Symone as Gladys Knight.

Kevin Shinick as Dick Clark, the TV personality.

The film cost $155 million.
