Ryan Castro holds onto first place on Decibeles’ Top 100 Colombia Hits chart, the list of the most popular songs this week

Ryan Castro, Kapo, and Gangsta dominate Colombia and show no signs of slowing down. Their collaboration “La Villa,” a summery track released amidst the country’s heavy rains, continues to be a fan favorite this week.

Castro also holds the No. 2 spot as a guest of Aria Vega on “Chévere (Remix).”

“La Villa,” a song from Ryan Castro’s album “Hope Sendie,” leads the Top 100 Colombia Hits chart for the third consecutive week. The catchy collaboration has solidified its position at number one on radio stations nationwide (2,632 plays), No. 8 on YouTube, and number four on Spotify, for a final score of 290 points.

In second place is 29-year-old Barranquilla native Aria Vega and Ryan Castro with “Chévere (Remix).” The song jumps from fourth place thanks to its third position on the radio (1,841 plays), number 9 on YouTube, and third place on Spotify.

The former Latin American Idol/Colombia contestant and the reggaeton artist from Medellín surpassed “Las Muñequitas” this week, a song by the duo Mr. Plata and the Buenaventura rapper El Americano 4KT, who are riding high after debuting this week in the top ten at No. 3.

“Las Muñequitas” is inspired by the soundtrack of the 2009 Colombian telenovela “Las Muñecas de la Mafia,” starring Amparo Grisales and Fernando Solórzano. The song is No. 1 on YouTube and Spotify and No. 18 on the radio.

This week, the top ten of Decibeles’ Top 100 Colombia Hits includes two songs by Beele: “Quédate” (No. 7) and “No Tiene Sentido” (No. 8). The rest of the top ten is rounded out by Medellín trap star Kris R with “Ganas” at No. 4; Champeta Urbana artist Luister La Voz with “Ozono”; the sixth most popular artist, Kapo, at No. 9 with “Donde”; and Italian reggae and dancehall producer Kybba at No. 10 with “Ba Ba Bad (Remix).”

Only one song outside of Latin urban music and its subgenres appears in this week’s top ten in Colombia. It’s a collaboration between the late singer of ‘Musica Popular’ (the Colombian version of Regional Mexican music) Yeison Jiménez and the eccentric Luis Alfonso, who have the fifth song on the list, “Destino Final,” which garnered 655 radio plays and reached second place on YouTube and ninth place on Spotify.

The Top 100 Colombia Hits compiles the most popular songs from all genres each week and ranks them according to data on their activity on streaming platforms (YouTube/Spotify) and ACR Decibeles’ electronic monitoring of real-time airplay on major radio stations.

Each of the three variables—YouTube views, Spotify streams, and Decibeles airplay—has the same weight in the list (33.3%).
