US President Donald Trump didn’t hesitate to share his opinion on Super Bowl 2026 during a recent interview in the Oval Office.
“I’m against them. I think it’s a terrible decision. All they do is sow hate. Terrible,” Trump said, according to a report by the New York Post.

Green Day has been a vocal critic of the Trump administration for nearly a decade, since the 2016 American Music Awards, when they led a chant of “No Trump, no KKK, no fascist USA.”
Green Day will kick off the Super Bowl with a pregame performance of “their most iconic rock anthems,” the NFL announced last weekend. The opening ceremony celebrates the Super Bowl’s 60-year history.
And in a trailer for his Apple Music Super Bowl halftime show last week, Bad Bunny said that when he takes the field, “the world will dance.”
