“Today I want to share with you that, in my view of life, we are all authentic pearls, and our shell is everything that symbolizes home… But when we are far from home, without that protective shell (without family, without routine or certainties)… don’t forget that the value is still within you. You will never be alone.” – SHELLA

Born 23 years ago in Cali, Colombia, Shella grew up inspired by her grandfather’s stories of tiples and bambucos; a musical heritage that fueled her own dream of becoming an artist. She graduated from Loyola University in New Orleans, the cradle of jazz, where she studied music production, the entertainment industry, and bilingual performance, specializing in vocal performance and composition.
She fuses contemporary pop with everything that comes her way: country, blues, boleros, rock, and folk, always supported by honest and organic lyrics, under a visual landscape governed by shades of vulnerability and strength. Her first single, “Bala Perdida”, is available on all digital platforms, along with her first EP about the stages of heartbreak and several other singles.

In May, SHELLA will present her debut album, “Dos Palabras”: a sonic adventure that portrays her twenties as a time of contrasts, full of love, but also of anguish. It’s a project that defies categorization, as its essence lies in freedom and exploration.
The album was initially developed in Miami in 2025, with Cali-based producer Fernando Abadía and the support of musicians who have played with renowned artists such as Juanes and Chayanne. Now, SHELLA emerges as an indie artist, back in Cali, where the project’s release is finalized. She is supported by engineers such as Juanca Méndez and Nixx, and other prominent Cali-based companies like Container Films DVA, CLUVÉ, Free Expression Dance Studio, and Casa Sinfonía Producciones: an exceptional collective determined to redefine pop music from the heart of the Valle del Cauca region.
Five tracks from “Dos Palabras” have already been released: “Sonrisas Descaradas”, “Malos Vicios”, “Buen Pronóstico”, “Año Nuevo”, and “La Ventana”, a song released on March 20th that stems from trying to understand someone who leaves your life without explanation or apology. It’s a compilation of the confessions, questions, and memories that haunt you as you come to terms with the fact that, even if you hope for their return, that person is not coming back.
A sixth single, titled “Pasos Lentos”, will be released on April 10th, prior to the album’s launch. The album includes a total of 10 songs, all titled with two words and each with its own music video. The album will be accompanied by a theatrical performance where dance and acting complement SHELLA’s authentic audiovisual universe. It will be an extraordinary experience that you can enjoy live, while understanding that both “the 20s” and this ephemeral process called “life” are truly “UN VIAJE.”
