Five artists from the Salsa, Urban Music, Rap, Urban Corridos, and Vallenato genres could take home a Latin Grammy at the next edition of the awards. Some are veterans, like the unforgettable Salsa legend Rafu Warner, who has a new album, and the Bogotá-based group La Etnnia, considered by Rolling Stone to be one of the key bands in the evolution of Rap and Urban Music in the Americas.
Others are new and emerging talents with a bright future, including the new phenomenon Duques del Vallenato, who are revolutionizing the genre from the United States; Ángel Huellas, an impressive Salsa talent from Colombia’s Pacific coast; and Ablack, a young singer and voting member of the Latin Recording Academy, who is blending Urban music with “corridos tumbaos.”
